Marlborough has had the proud tradition of hosting the largest and most prestigious Labor Day Parade in New England for 66 years. This year’s parade is scheduled for Monday September 4, 2017, starting at noon. We are hoping to introduce some new groups to this year’s parade to continue to build on the decades of engagement; and bring back crowd favorites such as The Mummers. In order to do this, we need increased community support.
The majority of the parade’s cost is covered annually by sponsorships and donations from private, commercial, corporate, civic, and individual community members. The parade is a collaborative effort and provides the City of Marlborough with a platform to showcase all that it offers and the city’s shared community pride.
We invite you to consider a sponsorship/donation at one of the 5 giving levels outlined on this website. Your sponsorship not only helps to fund the parade and continue this valued tradition, but it also gives you visibility in the community. Sponsorships of $500 or more entitle sponsors to signage representation in the parade. All levels will be acknowledged on the parade website and in other media.
If you wish to sponsor large groups such as the Mummers as a Drum Major sponsor, it is best to call our office early. Many of the popular groups book early and we would like to secure them for the parade before they are booked elsewhere.
If you have additional questions, please contact our Program Coordinator Leanne Cordischi at lcordischi-marlborough-ma.gov or 774-463-9517. Thank you for your past support, consideration, sponsorship and continued pride in Marlborough and its wonderful Labor Day tradition.
Thank you for your support!
