All vending companies will be subject to an event permit charge of $50.00 per vending cart for the 2016 Labor Day Parade. In accordance with the City of Marlborough’s ordinance, Chapter 468-34, an applicant looking to sell goods or merchandise must report to the Program Coordinator on the day of the event and pay the $50.00 licensing fee. Licenses will not be issued it an if all required items are not sent to our office by the August 15, 2017.
All Hawkers and Peddlers must report on September 4, 2017 to the registration table, located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Granger Boulevard and Florence Street (across from the U.S. Post Office) prior to the start of the parade. Registration will be between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. They must present their ORIGINAL, current Massachusetts-issued Hawker & Peddler license and a photograph ID. Names will be checked against the pre-register list.
A permit that shows proof of timely payment and correct documentation will then be issued. This license must be displayed on the vendor’s person throughout the event. Under Chapter 468-32, failure to display the permit will result in a fine of $300.00 per offense.
